Pricing Questions

When will this change take place?

The initial enrollment period for current IFE users wishing to migrate to the new High Volume plan will be from 10-1-11 through 10-31-11. (Effective date of rate changes will be 11-1-11 based on the selection during the enrollment period of 31days)
How does it affect me and who makes the changes?
If you decide not to change anything, then your accounts will automatically default to your current Low Volume Plan of .50 per work order and .10 for inspections.  The main office is in full control of its pricing plan(s) under the IFE Admin control panel.   East Point Systems is not in control or responsible for changes made to your pricing plans for your office, you are in control.
How do I choose the plan for my IFE’s?
You must choose a plan for new accounts or you may change the current plan for existing accounts when you log into your Admin account for IFE and click on “User Administration”.   
You will see this notification the first time you login as the administrator and select the User Administrator section.
 

Scroll to your right and you will see, under subscription, a drop down for each IFE user and their current plan selection.  You can change all of your subscriptions as well under the batch functions.

 

 
What happens when a mobile user wants to switch?  

All IFE accounts are licensed to the main office, not the fieldworkers.  For this reason, all IFE accounts are billed and paid for by the main office.  Some Mobile Edition users are currently billed directly and pay for their own usage. However, when switching over to IFE, there is currently no fieldworker billing function available for IFE accounts. The main office that the account is licensed to will be billed for all IFE accounts, not the fieldworkers. Therefore, if you are a mobile edition user switching over to IFE, the main office will be responsible for submitting payment for your IFE account to East Point Systems.   Many main offices elect to pass the IFE user fees down to their fieldworkers.  In those cases, the main office must make their own payment arrangements with those individuals in the field.    All IFE billing to the main office is broken out by user name and IFE HUB ID number to maintain accuracy and to provide the main office with a detailed billing for each of their IFE accounts.  The normal $2.00 activation fee for new IFE account creation will be waived for any Mobile Edition user switching to an IFE account.
Why is there a new setup fee and when does it start?
This new fee was created to cover some of the mounting costs we have experienced due to the huge numbers of new  IFE users. This billing change will begin November 1st for all new accounts.  
Will the billing schedule remain the same?  
Monthly billing schedules will remain the same, licensing on the 1st/HUB charges on the 10th
What about group pricing?  
Due to the deep discounting that is already available with the new high volume plan, group pricing is not available.  For offices with multiple IFE accounts, fees will be calculated based upon each separate IFE account, not based upon the total volume of all IFE accounts for the office combined.   
Can pre-purchase message credits be applied?   
Due to the deep discounts that are built into the high volume plan, prepaid message credits which have already been discounted cannot be used for payment for the High Volume plans.
When may I switch plans and when will it be effective?  
Offices may switch plans any time after October 1st, however, the subscription plan change will not go into effect until the first day of the following month.  All pricing changes, including HUB communication fees,  will go into effect on the first day of the following month.
How do I get new users added?   
New users will continue to be added through the process of your office completing and submitting the spreadsheet that we provide to your office for that purpose.  There will be an additional column added for the plan selection.  If no plan is selected, we will activate the Low Volume Plan as a default and no changes will become effective until the following month.  New user activation fees will apply.
